Smugglers 4 is a turn based science-fiction & trading game. Become a greedy trader, an ambitious bounty hunter, a ruthless pirate, or a multitude of the many professions that the game has to offer. Not only do you choose your profession but you will need to declare which faction you will fight for. Whose side will you be on? Through trading, fulfilling missions, or pirating, you earn the money and skills necessary to buy new ships and upgrade your equipment. Become more powerful, gaining in experience points and rank and able to take on bigger missions, more cargo for higher profits, and more lucrative raids upon your enemies. As you gain in power you'll have to manage a crew, board & plunder enemy ships, and even conquer star systems! Smugglers 4 offers you open-ended gameplay where the opportunities are virtually limitless, and your actions will ultimately have an impact on a galactic scale! Smugglers 4 factions: * Federation - Primary government of humanity. Brought peace and prosperity for all humans & helped colonize barren worlds. Currently involved in a galaxy-wide crackdown on rebel planets. Strong faction of choice for traders, mercenaries, and bounty hunters. * Outer Rim Alliance - Claims Federation is a ruthless tyrant, fraudulent and unjust. Federation has benefited from risks & labor of the colonists. Demands freedom and will fight for it! Faction of choice for any profession. * Coalition - Business alliance pursuing galactic neutrality. Long term goal of freedom through financial prosperity. Faction of choice for experienced traders. * Syndicate - Faction of the criminal underworld. Allied with the Jalkath aliens, gaining their superior technology & desiring the conquest of Earth and new empire to replace the Federation. Faction of choice for smugglers & pirates. Smugglers 4 features: 1. Acquire up to 60 different abilities and choose between 6 different professions (trader, combat trader, mercenary, bounty hunter, smuggler, pirate). 2. 24 star systems with over 75 planets. Visit your favorite planets or discover some new systems. Beautifully crafted planet art. 3. Improved crew combat from previous Smugglers games now featuring battle droids, EMP weapons and commando attacks. You can board and capture enemy ships. 4. New turn-based space combat system including different abilities such as cloaking, recharging shields, boarding enemy ships, etc. 5. Improved non-linear war and campaign system. You can influence the war and how you do that is now displayed even better. 6. Unique text engine providing different storylines of the war and mission descriptions (e.g. 10,000 different war declarations possible). Maybe this is the first time this has been successfully accomplished in a computer game. 7. Special locations spawning on the map (like hidden treasures, spy ships, VIP traders, alien artifacts...). 8. Become Admiral and get command over a fleet of ships (in some missions). 9. Attack large space stations and conquer whole star systems! 10. Special end-game content: 7 new missions only available for battleships!
